My commitment to public safety is unwavering, and events like “Puppaccinos with Police,” where officers connect with the community and their furry friends, highlight just how important those relationships truly are.

I care deeply about public safety, but more importantly, I care about the relationship between our community and the people sworn to protect it. That’s exactly why I’ve invested my time in the Citizens Academy, and I’m truly honored to be part of the 49th class.
This fourteen-week program, coordinated by the City Operations Division, meets Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m., and it’s one of the most practical, eye-opening ways to understand what policing actually looks like beyond headlines.
What I appreciate most is the access and transparency. From communications and dispatch to crime scene investigation, gangs and graffiti, K-9, SWAT, traffic, and use of force, you’re not just hearing about it, you’re seeing the complexity, the decision-making, and the responsibility in real time.
For me, this isn’t just participation, it’s alignment. If we want stronger, safer communities, we have to show up, learn, and engage. Programs like this don’t just educate, they build trust, and that’s where real public safety starts.

As a parent, I am intentional about teaching my children the value of building strong, positive relationships with the officers in our community. Seeing their genuine excitement and admiration for law enforcement reinforces just how important those connections are not just for them, but for all of us.

I’m an active advocate for community safety and preparedness, and I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside the Orange County Fire Authority to strengthen local engagement through the Community Emergency Response Team program.
I believe in equipping residents with practical, real-world emergency skills, and I value FEMA’s structured approach to preparedness training.
Through my work supporting and empowering young girls, I also focus on building awareness around emergency preparedness and leadership opportunities. It’s important to me to help spark early interest in public safety, whether that leads to firefighting, emergency response, or simply raising a generation that feels confident and prepared to step up when it matters most.
